Today I am thankful for singing lessons.
I realize that I probably need to dial it down a little bit.
So....
A couple of thugs in an SUV ran a stop sign and nearly hit my daughter and another pedestrian in a parking lot.
The little mother 'effer stopped, started cussing and rolled down his window.
I let him have it.
Everyone stopped.
Everyone starred.
I let the little thugs know a thing or two.
I think I scared the little sh!ts.
They drove off.
A woman in the store approached me to tell me that "everyone is nice."
I'm not.
What in the hell do these little creeps think?
Is it cute to try to threaten a little old lady?
Their gangsta rap is making them tough?
Is the word B!tch supposed to shut women up?
Do they think that old people can't protect themselves?
Do they think that only young men carry guns?
You learn to be tough when you're a survivor.
Tough people don't have to sag,
don't have to listen to rap,
and
don't have to show how tough they are.
Singing lessons help you bellow so loud no one can miss what you have to say.
I'll try not to do that anymore.
I betcha those little thugs will remember the stop sign.
Don't mess with old people!
We know a thing or two.

I think I'm tired of stupid people.
I really am.
I've tried to calm people down.....smart people....educated people......
feminist people.....who are NOT licensed health insurance agents.
These are social scientists, psychologists and professors.
These are people who should KNOW how to research claims before going into a panic.
They're freaking out because they believe that Donald Trump is making it impossible for women who are rape and domestic violence victims to get and keep health insurance.
They claim that insurers can drop women if they become a victim of a crime. They make it sound misogynistic. It's not.
First point, um......hate to say it -but- men get beat and raped, too. It would be stupid to make it impossible for crime victims to keep their insurance.
It's not about a war on women.
Secondly....if you have coverage and don't drop it, you won't lose it. It's only a pre-existing condition IF you're uninsured at the time you get injured -or- have had treatment for that condition six months prior to buying a plan.
Third.....Forty-four states have laws on the books that prohibit insurers from discriminating against victims of domestic violence and rape.
These laws existed before the Affordable Care Act. If women are really worried about it, they could petition the legislatures in the remaining six states (Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Vermont, Wyoming....and DC, too) to prohibit the practice outright.
Sheesh......
All the American Health Care Act (AHCA) does is give states a means to opt out of some Obamacare mandates. That's it.
It doesn't say anything about victims of crimes being excluded.
People are gullible even if they have a Ph.d.
They like the ACA (Obamacare), so they posit that anything that replaces it cannot "discriminate" against people with pre-existing conditions and they're turning the conversation around to highlight victims in an attempt to get people to accept Obamacare.
Rape and domestic violence invoke rage. They're trying to pair that rage with Trump's AHCA.
Why should I try to educate anyone?
They just want to b!tch, so I'll let them complain, worry and develop ulcers.
Let's hope they keep their insurance.
Don't drink the Kool-Aid without checking the ingredients, some websites are less credible than others. Rather than read New York Magazine, try the Seattle times or CNN (even CNN is getting sketchy but they try....).
Drinking poison will make you sick.
Fear mongering is a diversion tactic.

No matter what happens, insurance prices will continue to go up and coverage will drop.
The politicians will act in the manner that will help increase insurers' profits.
That's it.
It's not about us.
It's about the profits of those who contribute to campaigns.
No matter what happens, the average Joe will not be able to obtain affordable medical care.
It's only going to get worse from here.
I, honestly, don't think this new bill will pass the Senate. I think it's just a ploy to make it look like the politicians are doing something.
They don't want to harm the insurance companies.
They don't want to look bad to the public.
I'd be shocked if this passes the Senate.
Whether or not it passes, our costs our going to increase. The truism in health insurance is that the more we pay in premiums, the less we tend to pay for care.
Choose - do you want to pay high premiums? or high deductibles and coinsurance?
The choice is yours. At least it should be yours, sadly, we've given the power to Washington.
They're starting to bring reproduction back into the debate. I wish women would get it through their thick skulls, the country that can give you permission to have an abortion is the country that can force you to have one.
Historically, abortion was legal until the American Medical Association wanted to make midwifery illegal. Look into the history, it's interesting.

I wonder why people don't ask why they have to have a middle man (insurance companies) in the first place. It would be easier and cheaper to save 10-15% of your income throughout your life and use that to pay for your healthcare.
Many people are paying 50% of their income to health insurance premiums. This is why so many self-employed people I know work a full time job in addition to owning their business.
It's killing the economy.
This is why retail is going under. Fewer and fewer people have disposable income.
This cannot continue.
Love ya,
S.
