Lessons

Today I am thankful for the lessons I've learned this morning. I have learned that men fall in love in less than 8.2 seconds.    According to the latest research it takes around 8.2 seconds of steady eye contact for a man to fall in love with a woman.  This is not shown to be true for women, though.  She can stare at you and not feel a darn thing.  I have finally realized when that 8.2 seconds occurred.  It was....hmmmm....sixteen months ago.  He was giving a speech about the gestalt of universal energy, how it moves around and changes everything it touches.  Yeah, it was a metaphor for sex.  I'm not sure he knew that, though.  This guy speaks through metaphor but doesn't know what he betrays when he does that.  And he was staring at me for most of that speech.  I figured it was because I was the only familiar face in the room.  I looked at him because no one in the room was wearing shoes and I hav...

Deadlines

Today I am thankful for deadlines. I have one now.  I have a date where I can possibly move forward.  It is March 15, 2013.  Wish me luck.  Love ya, S.  P.S.  I believe that we attract the people into our lives we need to teach us lessons.  A man asked me today to hypnotize him into becoming a more loving person. The way it works is that you relax someone and let them talk it out to the point of convincing themselves what they need to hear.  He needed to remind himself that love will move mountains and will find a way if it is meant to be.  His subconscious mind was somewhat poetic and beautiful. It struck me not to push and just trust that things will work out.  I promise to stop worrying and just start living again. Things may be going better than expected because there were two telephone calls on the answering machine.  It was a woman who never gave her name.  She asked for the man in the basement by...

Friends and Space

Today I am thankful for my friends that allow me space.   I don't know if I want to share the insight of my pagan friend Ann.   I might.   I might not.   She's on the east coast.  She's beautiful.  I mean, she is drop dead gorgeous.   She's a sweetie.   She's a single mom.   She's looking for love.   A couple of years ago, around Valentine's day, we struck a deal.  We were going to light little red candles every New Moon Friday and ask for the kind of love we want.   I want a guy who will be my partner and sees a future with me.  I want a guy who won't be intimidated by me (so he has to be smarter).  I want a guy who is honest, fun, sweet, loves kids and won't abuse animals.   I want a guy who likes the kind of adventures that most people don't discuss in mixed company.   Now, when I started this, I honestly thought about getting my ex back. I don't thin...

My Underwear

Today I am thankful for my underwear.   Stupid, eh?  I used to buy them at Khols and Ross when I had my own money.  My favorite brand is St. Eve.  The problem, now, is that I can't get dressed without noticing the name.  The first time I noticed the name, I was in a movie theater restroom.  There was the smell of popcorn in the air, my joy at finally not squirming after a long two hour movie, and knowing that there was a handsome blue eyed friend waiting for me outside.....  whose name is in my underwear.  At the time I reasoned that his name was on the one place he did NOT want to be.  Now, I'm beginning to believe that I was wrong.  He didn't seem to like the fact that I had kids.  He didn't seem to like the fact that I still have a lawyer and drama. I think my driving scares the holy heck out of him.  I used a new shampoo that stripped the color out of my hair.  I swear it looked pink that day...

Weird Moments

Today I am cognizant of weird moments but unsure if I am thankful for them.  The man in the basement's father died on Thursday, at least it would appear he may have.   I don't know anymore.   We have a court date on Monday.  This date will determine when we can actually file for a legal separation.  I've been waiting for that court date for over three years.   I'm in pain.  My ex is freaking out.  He thinks it is appendicitis and he doesn't want me to die on his watch.   I don't want to use his health insurance.   It's not appendicitis.  It's an ulcer.   I'm in pain.   I was in the basement with him arguing over the stalking and asking him to tell me what he knows.  I mentioned going to the police and hiring a private investigator.  I begged him to tell me what he knew before the police found out and arrested him.   He denies knowing anything and claims his sister is behind...

Rock Songs

Today I am thankful for old rock songs as they always have the answer to life's problems.     Why didn't I think of hiring a PI sooner?  Love ya, S.

Banishing Spells

Today I am somewhat thankful for banishing spells.  After all the whining I did about the problems of spell casting, I broke down due to my paranoia. I took one black candle, wrote " banish stalker and that person's fear and control over others ", dressed it with banishing oil, dabbed on some cayenne pepper, and lit it. I also said a prayer to the goddess Nemesis. Within an hour the phones started working and the cops called to say that they weren't responsible for the gps device on my car while offering to talk to me about what to do to stay safe. Within three hours I received a phone message that the man who gathered his relatives around me, cornered me in my kitchen while violently demanding that I quit college lay dying with only twenty-four hours to live. I did as the caller asked and shared the message with the dying man's son who called within a half of an hour. The man had died within the half-hour it took to relay the message ...
